What does this mean for a light entrepreneur?

When you make a business trip to a client with your own car, you can charge a mileage allowance and receive it tax-free with your pay, within the confirmed maximum amounts. In 2026, the mileage allowance is 55 cents per kilometre. A business trip lasting over six hours may entitle you to a partial daily allowance (€25), and a trip lasting over ten hours to a full daily allowance (€54).

With Truster, you log your kilometres and daily allowances in the app right after each gig, and they're automatically included in your pay according to the tax-free maximum amounts. Remember to log your trips right away — piecing them together afterwards is tedious and error-prone. You can find the exact conditions for tax exemption, such as trip duration and distance requirements, in the Finnish Tax Administration's annual decision on vero.fi.
