Salary deductions

  • What is a wage garnishment? A wage garnishment (löneutmätning) means that the Swedish Enforcement Authority (Kronofogden) has decided that part of your salary must be paid directly toward your debts. Truster must follow the decision and cannot change, pause or stop it.
  • Why has money been deducted from my salary? The amount specified by Kronofogden is deducted from your salary before payment. You keep the amount Kronofogden has determined you need for your living expenses (förbehållsbelopp), and the rest is paid toward the debt.
  • Who do I contact if I have questions about wage garnishment? For questions about the decision itself — how much is withheld, how long it lasts, or how to appeal — contact Kronofogden directly (0771-73 73 00). For questions about how the deduction appears on your payslip, contact Truster support.
