Employer certificates and employment documents

  • What is an employer certificate (arbetsgivarintyg) and what information is included? An employer certificate (arbetsgivarintyg) is a document that confirms your employment and working history. It normally contains information such as your employment period, employment type, working hours and salary information. It is commonly requested by an unemployment insurance fund (a-kassa).
  • How do I request an employer certificate? Contact Truster and request an employer certificate. We will provide the certificate based on the employment and payroll information available to us.
  • What is the difference between an employer certificate and an employment contract? An employment contract describes the terms agreed when you start working. An employer certificate confirms what employment and work you have actually had, including relevant employment and payroll information.
  • When do I need an employer certificate? You may need an employer certificate when applying for unemployment benefits or when an authority or organisation asks you to document your employment and income history.
